Need new radiator. Opinions?

Unread post by del_TJ »

I've had a tiny leak on the top of my radiator for over a year, and after some poking and tugging - I found the problem!

I've been running a 3 row radiator for 5 1/2 years with no issues. I'm leaning towards buying a CSF 3 row radiator from radiator barn for $212. I also see there are Champion all aluminum ones on ebay for or a little more.

Any opinions on best bang for the buck radiator?

Radiator Barn has a good rep. I know several of us here are using units from them.
An all aluminum radiator off e-bay for about the same $$$, I'd be taking a long read at the seller's feedback rating before buying.

Radiator Barn it is then.

I was looking at the Champion aluminum radiators on ebay. You can also buy them on the Champion website for $220 + shipping. Don't know what to think about them.

I've purchased numerous radiators from Radiator Barn for my heeps.
Had one of them arrive with a slight bend in the lip of the fill neck. Packaging could have been better to protect it.
Just took a minute to straighten it out before installing it.
Other than that I've been very pleased with with all the radiators from them. Never had an issue with them after the install. :)

A few years back I ordered a radiator from a local Autozone. Installed it and it leaked around the filler neck connection to the top tank. :angry-cussingblack:
Had to yank it out and order a replacement one from AZ that didn't leak.

I bought a 3-row all metal unit from either radiators.com or radiatorbarn a few years ago and been very happy with it...
