pinion / SYE nut size?

Anyone know the pinion nut size on a D44 rear axle? Hows about on the SYE end? Definitely bigger than 1&1/16... but don't want to have to buy an entire set of even larger sockets. Need to tighten up both ends.

gracias.

It should be 1-1/8" for the pinion nut. Not sure on your SYE nut.

Call the manufacturer of the SYE... They should know....

I would guess it is 1-1/4 or less...

SYE nut should either be 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 inch. Easy enough to buy singles at your local Sears.

I carry all the sizes from 1" through 1-1/4", & 36mm and I know it is one of those -- just not which. :)

1-1/8 is the winner! My speedometer is now working again... after a year and a bit of not. Electronic speed sensor... didnt have enough pressure on it to rotate.

but, a random clunking is still there, so time to tear in to the diff this weekend :)
