Jeep getting rid of the Wrangler?????

From All things jeep posted on Facebook today
"Wow! We just got off the phone with a representative of Jeep. We probably shouldn't share this, but they told us they are eliminating the Wrangler from the product line in 2014! They want to go "higher end" and just have more vehicles like the Grand Cherokee. So, only a few more years to buy a new Wrangler! We are very very sad!

I drive one, its called the transition between YJ and TJ.... Its not like they didnt sell jeeps in that model year
I think we all know the Wrangler is the life blood of the brand and they would be fools to kill the nameplate...

There was no 1996 MY Wrangler. Late production 1995 YJs had some signs of TJ...hood/windshield bumpers and tie down. Not much more than that.

We bought a new 95 YJ in August 95 & I re-call the dealer telling us no 96 wranglers will be produced.
