Aftermarket rear axle shaft bearing replacement kits?

Unread post by ChrisD »

I am about to install a set of AlloyUSA 33spline axle shafts and need to replace the bearing kit. Does anyone know if the replacement kit is the same as stock?

Placed a call to AlloyUSA tech support, still waiting for an answer.

I would guess it is. The shaft at that end is considerably thicker than the spline end. I would have went 33 spline too, but no one makes a 33 spline spool.

Good to know... heading to Lou's tomorrow!!

FWIW... It's a PITA to remove the retainer and bearing from the axle, even with scoring the 2 with a cutting wheel.
