Rear wheel stud replacement

K, so I'm having trouble with my studs - I just broke two. :o

01 TJ, rear driver's wheel... I know we changed one of them on my wheel before but we had everything ripped apart at the time. So question is can they be replaced w/out ripping everything apart? I may be able to do it myself if not but I don't think I'm ready to rip it all out AND put it back together yet.

If not - anyone know of a good shop between Gloucester and Wakefield?

Rear studs are easy. Jack up that side, remove the brake drum, pound out the borken studs, insert new stud with a bunch of washers, and use either a 1/2" x 20 bolt or acorn lug nut backwards to pull the stud into place. You should probably use a 4-way lug wrench for more mech. advantage. When the stud is tight, do the next one.

Two studs should take about 15-20 minutes.

What he said.

Really, the hardest part will probably be beating the borken ones out.
