Anyone know where you can purchase nut rivets locally? (mounting rockers)

Depends on what size thread you're looking for.
Most of the home supply/hardware stores have them but usually only up to a 1/4-20 thread.

I got them at a place in Milford NH... I used 3/8" to anchor my belly skid and the tool box in the back of the XJ and I've found they worked really well.
I believe you can order online or buy them at retail from Fastenal and you don't need a commercial account like you would with Grainger. Check the Fastenal website for details -- search for "rivnut". I'd suggest the steel w/ zinc dichromate ones for best corrosion resistance (yellow coating)_
I used ones like this (but I was able to buy them locally):

1) Be sure you get steel ones!
2) Don't bother buying an install tool... for 3/8" or 1/2" you can use a grade 8 bolt (of the appropriate size), a nut, and a few flat washers to install them
3) Note the size of the drillbit required for installation... Get the right size if you don't have it already!

I got a bunch of metric button head screws with lock nuts from Bel-Metric in Tyngsboro MA. He stocks a ton of stuff and is right off of rt 3 just south of Nashua. A short while after I bought stuff from him I needed some stuff for work and he was really helpful.... probably will cross post this in the vendor section....
