Rocker gasket material options/suggestions?

Recently purchased OR-Fab rocker protection and was wondering what options are suggested for gasket material/avoid metal to metal contact?

Was thinking about running a bead of RTV across the top and apply bearing grease to the back of rocker plate, anyone else try this approach? I have seen several posts illustrating the attachment strength of RTV when to much has been applied and would like to avoid this disaster.

I didn't use any gasket material. I did use super large washers though, on the inside of the body instead of the small ones that came with my PSC Rocker Knockers. When I work on the body this year, I'll be taking them off and will probably run a bead of 'cone over the top and that's it. It lets any water that gets in there out.

I used a rocker gasket. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12003_500.htm

Some one on the old forum recommended a can of that tar based undercoating, which would be cheaper. I would guess you would want to let it dry, maybe 2 coats, etc. rather than mount the rockers with gooey undercoating.
