Jeep Replacement Seats

Unread post by COH143 »

My 1993 YJ seats are shot as they should be after 192,000-miles. I am looking to replace them this winter and am looking for suggestions. Constructive suggestions Joe.

Corbeau A4 or LG1; Mastercraft Rubicon or Baja; any others to consider?

Thank you in advance for your input.

I have a set of Bestop Trailmaster seats if you're interested. Both tan in color, one has a tear in the seat that I duck-taped, but they're solid other than that. They'll bolt right in, I used them for a couple of months but didn't like them because the're about 1" higher than the stock seats. I'm in Holbrook, let me know if you're interested.

I put in the Garage Pro reclining 5 point and they suck. I know Franks are nice, thats why I bought mine, but just an fyi on the reclining ones. Not sure how different the regualr ones are as far as construction but the padding on the side of my seats came loose and rolls over everytime you get out.

I guess milk crates are out.

Summit racing sells a whole bunch of seats. My YJ's seats are still pretty good except for the dark stains in the middle and my buggy will be using the plastic ass busters.

Mastercraft seemed to be well liked in the off road world.

Ive been looking into this for a while.... Probably going with Corbeau Ultra's, or XP's..... Looked into Mastercraft, Twisted Stitch, and PRP too. Just seems you get more bang for your buck with Corbeau. Mine will be getting the heaters installed too for those cool top down evenings....

I guess so. I wonder if Angie will notice the old Jeep seats in her car while I'm trail riding with heated leather?

Joe, you are dependable. Milk crates are too low, or I am not tall enough to use them properly.

Will probably go with the Corbeau seats. Talked to a bunch of people who have them and they all have good things to say once you get over the cost.
