I pulled this out of my intro thread as I dont want to clutter the two
I am thinking about putting a new muffler on my 4.6 YJ. I know the tailpipe size is 2.25 and I think the cat is 2.25. What size inlet/outlet would I need on the muffler itself to make everything fit?
TIA,
Jared

Looks like it ought to work.
It's case length is 13". My new muffler case is 14". Close enough

When i put in my LA kit on my TJ i went to Lous custom exhaust in Nashua. From the cat back it was only about 125 bucks to bend up what i needed. may be worth letting them do it. aside from having to clearance the tail pipe due to smoshage its held up well all season...

X2 for Lous Custom Exhaust.
After destroying the tailpipe on the Rubi wheeling a few years ago, I took it to Lous in No. reading. They installed a cat back and bent it in such a way that the entire system is up out of harms way, including the tailpipe.
Think it was about $200.00. Stainless muffler, and aluminized pipe.

I had Lou's Custom Exhaust do a header-back exhaust on my XJ a couple years ago in Nashua... One of the joints is pretty ugly, but overall they did a good job w/ it.
