gotcha, makes sense about the 3 link. wasn't sure if the leaves were long/soft enough to give you decent flex or not.

i'm taking residence on the rock where all those XJs smashed themselves up for your turn

I gave mine away this year as a secret Santa gift at work. The reaction was hilarious!

Part - 5 or it it 6
Spring is in the air.... time for another progress report
The ragged rear corner we in dire need of some protection and beefing up. Rounded up some Genright comp cut rear corner armor and a set of T00b fenders. Fab'd, welded, modified, painted and installed.
Had to extend the armor as it only reached down to the top of the rocker guards. Extended them with some 3/16's steel plate, formed them around the rocker guards and also wrapped them under the Jeep to extend the belly protection.
The tires FINALLY came in from Interco. Took about 2 months as they had to do some mold work before resuming production of their Sticky SX's. Picked them up Monday and popped them on the beadlocks.
They are BIG...
Old man in the picture just for scale
Over 2 feet of clearance from the ground to the tranny skid
Too tall now to open the garage door or roll it out. Will have to air way way down to sneak it out the door.
Of course "Murphy" had to make an appearance Monday. Was mounting the tires on the beadlocks and had one hell of a time trying to get one on the rim. Just couldn't do it.
I discovered Interco F'd up and sent one tire 16.5 instead of 17" rim diameter.
They are shipping a replacement this week to replace it.
