Whatever works for you is fine.

For those familiar with Bilstein shocks, you know that they have a very nice brushed steel finish. In preparation for the wrenchfest I have asked around to find out how to keep them looking that way. What was suggested was to clear coat them with a special paint designed for wheels. I bought a can made by Dupli-Color, masked the rubber grommets and piston, put a cable tie through the mount hole and sprayed away. Hopefully it will prolong the looks, for awhile anyway.

I would plan on it for that night.. The jeep can go into limp mode if we don't get it close enough alignment wise after the upgrades... There are a few places in Nashua NH that can do it, NTB and the like... dont know of anyone in town that has a alignment rack open on Saturday afternoon...

If you've got Sullivan tire down in RI, I'd get their lifetime alignments. Basically you pay for two alignments and get alignments on that VIN for the entire ownership of it. We've got at least two of those shops in the Hudson/Nashua area, and they have Saturday hours.

Hi all we have a green light for Saturday with my neighbor. ADDRESS 28.5 Groton Rd Westford MA 01886
Note : Groton Rd in Westford MA The access road for the shop is a long dirt driveway up a slight incline between 28 and 30 Groton Rd, its a large blue industrial building with heavy equipment outside, as you go down Groton Rd headed toward Groton on the right hand side you will see a small pond and a circular driveway followed by 4 mailboxes together, the access road is immediately after the 4 mail boxes. they are listed as 6 Millstone hill rd but its a sharp turn and easy to miss it. I will post my cell number when we get closer to Saturday..

Thanks for posting up the directions. Yeah, I think a starting time of 9:00 would be good. As you know, there's no telling how long or what problems may come up. I'd rather finish the day early and have time to help others than to have to hustle to get the lift installed under time issues. I think with the knowledge/experience of the people who said they're coming, it hopefully will go well. I think Amanda has an electrical thing she needs done, too.

As for the wheel alignment, it may be risky, but I think I'm going to take the chance to drive home and have it done on Monday. I'd rather do it local. Besides, as Dan mentioned, I will look into those alignment deals, whether it be a lifetime thing or a 3 year type agreement or something similar. Seems like a good deal with the way our wheels get knocked around.

the driveway for his shop is on the main rd -Groton Rd... my road is pretty easy for people to miss and drive by so this is a bit easier to get to.

Mine should be quick. I can be there at 9 and must leave by 1130ish. I can be there at 8, too.

I'll try to bring my 1" x 8" x 33" alignment kit I use it to set toe in, and it's pretty accurate. Not bad for two pieces of wood and a couple bungee cords
