Haha thanks. I will say I'm not surprised it's a Cherokee. Not sure anybody in a Cherokee is a safe driver. Lol

I was just thinking that most of the Cherokee drivers I've met were a little nuts. Lol

Frank wrote:Im not a fan of using RTV with a gasket . Id use it without one. I only use ultra black as its the most impervious to oils and lubes. The other trick is to coat the surface and hand tighten the bolts just till it starts to squeeze out. So there is a gap left. You wait an hour or two then finish with the proper torque. It gives the RTV time to set up a bit before compression and makes a better seal. Its gotta be getting in somewhere. How about the other (outer) end. Is there a seal also ? FjR68
I was always taught to either use a gasket with sealer (#2 Permatex) or RTV without a gasket, never RTV with a gasket.

Got my Trektop NX a few weeks back and installed the deck cover and bikini portion thinking we were done with actual snow for the year. Well with the alleged storm coming up I decided to toss on the back windows to see how it looks and keep any accumulation out of the actual jeep.

Now to sell the factory top.

Next is removing the teraflex body lift that I had installed. Just a bit too tall for my liking. Just one more thing to sell on top of everything else. Lol
