I hope to be there, and would love to take a look. I may have something by then, though, who knows?

Any kit is a good place to start and better than nothing. Heck and roll of duct tape and paper towels will accomplish a lot in a pinch....

I carry lots of quick clot, tourniquets and epi. Benadryl too.
Splints. Ice-packs. Needle decompression, IV’s, Liters of Saline, meds, tube roll, cric kit, BVM. Chest seals.

Either people will have an allergic reaction in the middle of no where or some sort of traumatic injury where there’s lots of bleeding.

All I’m missing is an AED but apparently Mark has that covered. Actually as I joke about an AED, that would honestly be a great investment for the club, considering you’re often somewhere pretty far away from help. They’re pretty cheap now.

You have a point. I an add some LMA’s but IO guns are pricey. Maybe a Dewalt drill could work?

I'll bring the drill....you bring the rum!

I do like the idea of a club owned AED , the cost has come down and there are ones now that run off of over the counter batteries that will supposedly last for like 30 shocks. What about a one of the Skedco or Reeves stretchers? They don't take up a ton of room and with all the hands on a trail ride ,could make packaging and a carry out a lot fast than waiting for help to get all the way in and back out again. Totally not trying to get carried away....

I really am a huge fan of AED’s considering they will save your life before the EA orFirst responders can make it out to the trails (if they even can).

Do we have an emergency plan? Scoop and run? Whoever has the biggest built jeep, tossing the person in it and getting out as quickly as possible to meet the ambulance?

I listened to this podcast - it was pretty intense. As their rig was sliding sideways at night toward the steep edge of the trail, the husband says just one thing to his wife: "Unlock your door."

I already have a trauma kit stowed with my other gear in the cargo bay, but I decided that I also need one accessible in the front seat, along with a quick-release fire extinguisher mount. So I picked up this smaller first aid kit to carry up front:
