It's funny how many of my posts start with 'Thank you'. This one is no different
THANK YOU Joe for explaining how to fix it and THANK YOU Kurt for helping fix it!
After riding shotgun with Kurt on the fun run, we went back to his garage. The CA pieces came out without a fight and after cleaning up the stub end, the 'threads' were smooth as silk. You could drop the threaded end into the CA, like buttah. Kurt drilled 4 holes (all the way through, for a total of 8) and I welded the holes shut, getting nice puddles on the 'threaded' shaft. Finished up with beads around the inside and outside of the jam nut. This CA is, and forever will be, one piece
Why, yes. Yes we do have pics

AND the whole job was done in one hour You read that right. Removed, drilled, welded and re-installed in one hour. That doesn't seem like a big deal? Then you obviously never worked on my rig. Trust me. It's a big deal

this is a fine example of a Jedi master teaching the padawon learner as the young Jedi is about to take on an apprentice of their own.Carl McFly wrote: AND the whole job was done in one hour You read that right.
