planning on it. didnt get around to it today.one more odd thing I noticed: If I take it out of gear and its doing the vibration (it doesnt always happen) and i act like im trying to shift into a gear without pushing the clutch pedal (obviously not forcing it, i'm just moving the shifter a little) and release the shifter back to neutral, it resolved the issue until it comes back the next time I shift. Don't know what it means. gonna check shaft tomorrow.

You're also loosing speed as you do that, which could affect the point of harmonic balance.

I have never seen a clutch or transmission issue that severe, where it would cause a vibe at only one speed. If the tranny or t-case is broke, it would tell you at all speeds. Same with the clutch.

Before you pull the driveshaft, put the rear axle on jackstands. When you pull the shaft, check the pinion on the rear end. A bad pinion bearing typically growls, but it could cause a vibe.

Given the severity of the vibe though, my money is still on the rear shaft.

I replaced all the ujoints in the rear shaft. the one at the diff looked warn upon inspection. Problem solved. Anybody know of some decent ujoints? the ones I keep getting at the local auto shop are dying every 25k miles :\ I know my drive angles are a little bit much, but 25k? there's gotta be a better ujoint.
