Scouting for Food pics
Well, we had a great day at our Cub Scout Pack meeting and collection with Scouting for Food. We grabbed a couple shots of my trailer to show just how much we collected. It was a pretty heavy load!
Tomorrow afternoon, we sort it all out.

Thanks man. It's weird too, because as we were loading the trailer and grabbing the bags, you get to look in 'em and a couple of times I was thinking, "wow, that looks pretty good...."jquader wrote:Nice work!
The folks in Sturbridge are very generous too. We had canned hams and other high end goods. I haven't been involved in this program in a long time and was very impressed. It was also fun watching my Tiger Cubs hauling bags from vehicles to trailer. Some of the bags were so heavy, two boys had to carry 'em.
Another thing that impressed me was the amount of food that BSJ'ers collected for the Pot Luck. My only regret was only being able to wheel about an hour or so with everyone, expecially before the holidays. At least I was able to dish out a couple of good hugs.

Nice work!!! I wish the Boy Scouts in this town were a little (read:lot) more organized than they are. Had to pull my Son from it because every meet was just plain dumb. No organization and plenty of politics. The people in this town are just way to stuck-up. My not having been in the scouts "disqualify" me from being a "leader"
You do great work with these things Joe, always helping where you can. Your family should be proud.

Thanks Scott! I have to tell you though, watching Alex do his part and helping Angie and Michaela with Girl Scouts(and watching them grow!) for the last 11 years never ceases to amaze me. I'm proud of them!Scott wrote:You do great work with these things Joe, always helping where you can. Your family should be proud.
I'm sorry to hear about your poor scouting experience. The fact that you were never in scouts as a kid has nothing to do with your willingness to help now!
