I'm heading to the Bethel, ME Jeep Jamboree this weekend. Anyone from BSJ going? It's kind of pricey but it also sold out fast, so some local people must be going... Anyone?

Hi Tony
I was going to do the Bethel JJ but found out about GAJR overlapping and did Vermont instead. Make sure you sign up for the Chili trail (and then LMK about it ) The trail Guide is a super nice guy named Scott Everett and his parents serve you lunch on the trail, he was the trail leader for me on Vertigo (JJ trail names are public and published info so are OK on the forum) at Killington and he was a fantastic spotter and has an amazing CJ. He also is a founding member of Western ME jeepers and part owner of most of the land the JJ is run on.
If I do another JJ it will be Bethel so I can run that trail. It was written up in JP magazine earlier this year. Also try to be there early for the tech inspection as trail sign up is first come first served basis. I got to Killington for about 2pm and inspection starts at 5pm or so and I was in the first line of jeeps and got the two trails I wanted. Another club member had some tech problems while out of cell and CB range and got in about an hour behind me and had to take at least one second choice. Also for lunch make sure the box you grab has a sandwich in it. one of my girls almost didn't get one as someone pinched the sandwich from her box.

Thanks for the tips! It's starting to look like conditions might be wet and muddy.Voodoo Chile wrote:Also try to be there early for the tech inspection as trail sign up is first come first served basis.
