We had 13 jeeps show up IIRC for the September 18th run including our newest member Tony D from Newton (del_TJ)
Welcome to the club Tony you did great on a fairly tough run. As usual we broke into two groups a moderate and hard group. There were roughly 5 jeeps in the hard group with Kurt, Dave C, Marky, Jack and John C hitting the hard stuff and lapping the larger moderate group a few times in the process. They seemed to have some fun and had minor if any carnage on the day aside from some new body damage and such.
The moderate group was lead by Carl with his trusty copilot extrodinare Paul who also pulled duty as the main spotter on the day (thanks again for the help Paul! good to see you!) We took a different loop than last time out on this property and took a harder line than normal. We had some minor damage along the way with a shopping cart hitting Bills bumper and some pin stripes along the way but no breaks or major carnage on the day. It took the better part of the day to find the trail head and then do the loop we did. All in all it was a full day on the trail and I feel a good time was had by all.
Heading in from the field my prediction of dry condiotions was soon disproved from the previous nights rain.
Carl paving the way on the first part of the more challenging route
Tony making quick work after Carl found the way
James pretty much walked up everything.
Bill still looking show room new for now..
We soon neared the top of the hill and Dave gave us some quick lessons on Jeeping 401.
Advanced engineering 401
Culinary arts 402
On trail use of OBA 101, 102 201, 202 301 302...
Carl found a new favorite rock which owned most of the group.
Tony looked like a pro
Its a jeep meet you wouldnt understand.
Second take was more successful
Eve as usual and gave it her all.
The big dogs waiting for us to get gone..
Jayson and Mark moving on.
Bill
Kai with some nice flex
Don made a lot of it look easy, even open open seat time reigns supreme.

Great write-up and pics to match..
Good news is my tire appears to have only suffered from sticks and rocks in the bead. This is the last remaining tubless tire on the heap but I have fresh new tube ready to install if needed .
PS> My tailight is home recovering (No physical damage )from the unwanted advances bye that frisky TJ.

Hey Wes, I think its a simple matter of when a TJ loves a YJ and isnt afraid to let the world know...wesley4x4 wrote:story behind this??? plzVoodoo Chile wrote: Its a jeep meet you wouldnt understand.

...actually this was toward the end of the day, the moderate group was coming up a last hill climb and IIRC Carl had to winch up the last bit of rock and mud. Dave was at the top of the hill waiting for the rest of the hard group to come up a different trail, so I asked if he'd mind to pull forward to winch some folks over the section. For some reason they hooked a strap up instead of Daves winch and as Carls TJ slid around it kissed Daves YJ. The two jeeps quickly fell in love and hope to make beautiful JKs. Im hoping to get a Rubi out of the litter...
The next picture was after re-setting the jeeps a little farther north of each other.
Next BSJ run is 10/9 evite will go out a little closer to the end of the month...

i tell you those TJ's have a fetish for older YJ's LOL too funny... my jeep got some body damage from the last time it met another TJ, they get a little to rough , so now it plays by itself for the time beingVoodoo Chile wrote:Hey Wes, I think its a simple matter of when a TJ loves a YJ and isnt afraid to let the world know...wesley4x4 wrote:story behind this??? plzVoodoo Chile wrote: Its a jeep meet you wouldnt understand.
