Was taking off my tie rod to straighten it and I found a castle nut missing a cotter pin on the TRE :shock:

The nut wasn't finger loose but it wasn't real tight either! Came off like buttah. Might be unrelated and maybe it's the close-enough alignment I did (toe is set to neutral) but that semi death-wobble at 45 - 55 MPH is gone

Note to self: ALWAYS double and triple check work

Had that happen to me a few years back.

The heep suddenly had no steering after a rest stop on the trail. I'd forgotten to put a cotter pin in at the pitman arm and the nut backed all the way off causing the drag link to pop off the pitman arm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
