Greetings to everyone, and thanks for letting me join your club. I have owned and enjoyed many 4x4 vehicles in my 50+ years as a driver, and three of those vehicles were Jeeps. The most memorable of these is my current YJ 4.0L automatic. Photos attached. I have just finished a 9 month restoration, trying to bring the Jeep to original specs. Considerable welding has been done to the frame and sheet metal so those repairs don't resemble factory work. I have Outlaw 2 wheels with 31 x 10.5 tires. Tube rear bumper with 2x2 receiver and shackle insert. The front bumper also has a 2x2 receiver to accommodate a Badlands winch or my aluminum snow plow. Most of my 4x4 time was extensive snow removal adventures back when I was just out of college. I'm probably a 4x4 wimp in that I would prefer not to damage the vehicle I just put so much time and money into. I'd be real happy to get to the great outdoors in the company of like-minded off-road enthusiasts. In the course of restoring my Jeep I purchased a nice 20' 10,000 GVW hydraulic car carrier so perhaps I may be able to assist with logistics for club members. If the trail head can accommodate my trailer, I would prefer to keep the miles off the Jeep by trailering it. I have extensive experience in heavy-lift rigging, commercial vehicle operation, commercial captain's experience, and private pilot adventures (many years ago). I hope to receive news of a trail event and begin my participation in and contribution to your club. Ian Moores. Easton, MA

Ian, welcome to BSJ!
Very nice looking YJ you have there.
Looks just like the red 1989 YJ I had when I joined BSJ 20 years ago.

Re: NEW MEMBER
Welcome Ian, nice to see another YJ - It looks great! Besides my trail Jeep, my son and I are fixing up an '87 this summer while he's home from school.
Going to be repainted bright red like yours. Take care and see you out there.

Welcome aboard.
Great to have another leaf spring vehicle around. I also have a YJ that has morphed from stock and has gotten a few more scratches than I anticipated over the years..
