HELLO FROM KINGSTON, MA

Unread post by Widow Maker »

Hi - I just recently joined Baystate Jeepers and want to introduce myself and my rig. I am very happy to be a member of this club - have heard a lot of positive feedback from friends who are current members. My name is Carol and I have been wheeling since 2007. My first Jeep was a 2000 Wrangler 2.5 Liter 5 Speed that I shared with my husband Rob (MidniteRyder) off roading and by December of 2007 we got tired of arguing over who was going to drive on the trail and I started looking for my own Jeep.

My current rig is a 1997 Wrangler Sport 4.0L Automatic and I purchased it used in February 2008 as bone stock. My year was the first year of the TJ body style and the very last Chrysler-only platform. My first mods were a 2.5" budget boost, Skyjacker Hydro7000 Shocks and Steering Stabilizer, Pro Comp 1" Body Spacers, 31" Trexus MT's, ProComp Steel Rims, an Aussie Locker (front) and AGR Super Pump and Steering Box, Skyjacker Transfer Case Bracket, new Best Top Rag Top.

Starting In February of this year, the following modifications were done:
Replaced existing Dana 35 rear axle with a Dana 44 Rear Axle from a 2001 Wrangler with 3.73 gears (original gears were 3.07's)
Yukon 3.73 Front Axle Gears and Yukon Carrier and Conversion Kit
Flowmaster Off Road Diamond Plate Cat Back System
Rough Country 4" Lift Kit & Transfer Case Drop Kit
33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's
2006 16" Rubicon Rims
Rough Country 1.5" Wheel Spacers
Slip Yoke Eliminator (Crown)
3/16" Rocker Guards (courtesy of Bay State Offroad in Middleboro, MA)
Bushwacker Fender Flares
'03 Gas Tank Skid Plate

Future upgrades include upgrading steering linkage with a Currie upgrade, replace front and rear bumpers with a stronger off road product, under carriage armor (steering box, diffs, etc).

Here's my Jeep:

Hi - it is a fake Jeep plate I bought at GAJR two years ago. Not had the chance yet to wheel out in CO - I heard it is awesome though. I have a sister in Cheyenne, WY which we plan on visiting next year and that is not far from CO - so hoping to fit in a wheeling trip while we are out there.
