From TJ to JT
Well I did it. I sold the TJ and got a new JTR. I have wanted the Gladiator since they came out and they are offering such great deals on new ones right now that I was able to swing it. I had to sell my 06 TJ and trade my in my '13 Silverado to do it though. I was smart and went with the Rubicon this time so it already had the D44s front & rear w/ lockers, the 4:1 transfer case, and the skids and rock rails. I unfortunately need to put a few miles on it to break it in before I break it in the woods, but I will be out soon. I am collecting missing skids right now and considering 35s. Hope to be ready in another month or so for some club stuff.

Congrats on the new Rubi. Can't wait to see you get her muddy.

Nice! I am a fan of the rubi buttons, skid it up and let's go play!
Turn up the radio and Bump it! that will buff right out.

Re: From TJ to JT
I'm starting to see a lot of JTs on 40"s and 6-inch lifts, and they look awesome.

Re: From TJ to JT
I was planning on just changing out the 33's with 35's, but all the forums are saying just get the 37s. Anyone that went 35s just trades up months later. So I'll probably get the 37s and 2" Mopar or AEV lift.BlackKnight wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 11:02 am I'm starting to see a lot of JTs on 40"s and 6-inch lifts, and they look awesome.

Re: From TJ to JT
They say 35's on a 2 door feel like 37's on a JKU, and likely feel like 40's on the JT. Because of the longer wheelbase, 35's will feel smaller as the possibility of High center will increase because of the distance between the wheels. Also, your approach angle will feel the same as a JK/JKU, but your departure angle is going to suck as the JT hangs way out the back...

Re: From TJ to JT
Nice. Could that be another Granite Crystal Rubi in the club? Akos proved the JT can hold its own on the trails. Even the tight timberline and rocky ones.

Re: From TJ to JT
Is there a retractable top option for the JT? Asking for a friend...
Nope. This will never get old.

Re: From TJ to JT
Nope. Retractable option only available on the JLU. No place to put in on the JL or JTU
FYI, while wheeling Battlegrounds the pushbutton top came in handy on multiple trails where the sagging trees were attacking those whose tops were off. Open when I want. Close when I want.
And No. It will never get old for me. A regular ribbing deserved for sure.
