Tube bender.

Unread post by Blackjeep »

By this time next year I plan on building an exo cage for the old jeep. Was wondering if anyone has a semi portable manual or hydraulic one I could borrow. Before i drop a chunk of change on one. Or if not anyone have any recommendations on a decent tube bender and dies...

Jd2 for the money. You can convert manual to hydro down the road. But I am fan of hydro. Depending what tubing your planning on using 1 1/2 .120 bends ok manual, even .188 is do able but 2 inch is pain in the nuts.
Most manuals you need to secure (bolt down).
Depending when your doing it you can use mine if it's around. I have 1.50, 1.75, 2 inch dies. Have a notcher too if needed.
Make sure you buy extra tubing mistakes will be made and they are expensive. 2 x .250 is $17 a foot right now.
Do it right the first time!
