Het everyone,
Got some flat fenders since the last inspection and the local jeep dealer - after "promising" to get it done, did not... only a 2 1/2" lift but the front fenders leave about 2-3 inches of the tire exposed. Rear tires seem to be ok.
Where do you all go that might not be so 'to the letter of the rule'?
I'm down in Franklin, but i'll go where i need to for the sticker.
Whatcha got?
Joey

2-3 inches of exposed tire is a lot. Way outside the law, considering the law is none.
Build your rig in compliance, or buy a truck/trailer. Mine passes inspection legally at any inspection station in NH.

this is a public and searchable message board. If someone has it in for someone and that garage gets named here the shop can get in trouble. you are better off being in compliance and getting inspection tires on the Jeep for inspection. Not that anyone here has ever done that.JoeyA-261 wrote:Het everyone,

I have a JKU with a 2.5" lift and a set of wide 33s last time I got inspected. Stock flares and small overhang of tire outside of flares. No issues with inspection and did not go anywhere special. Stock JK/JL take off tires can be gotten for about 400 for 4. Dont leave the full size 35" spare on and if you go for inspection that way you should have no issues. I have yet to hear horror stories in MA that I expected with new cameras etc. I'm sure they occur but in social media and boards I visit...

Thanks guys, I totally appreciate the point. I wasn't too clear in my initial post - I'm wasn't looking for a shop to break the law, just one reads the law as it's written. I just went down the road to where I take my wife a daughters car and got no trouble.
See you out there,
