I have a new favorite tool

Unread post by Jonas »

Yesterday I was trying to get the rusted nuts off the bolts between the manifold and the front part of the exhaust:

- Impact; no way to get a socket and an extender on the bolt from below
- Combination wrenches; not enough space to ratchet and keeps slipping
- Bolt cutter; way too long handles once you open the jaws
- Angle grinder; no way to get it in there
- Sawsall; wrong angle
- Cut off wheel; no way to get the right angle without cutting into the collar
- Hand hack saw; not even going to try it

So, to the rescue, air hammer with a cutoff chisel. Cut the nut right off. I can't believe I have been surviving without this thing.

I have a set of 18 different tools for the impact hammer. Next tool are two different shaped exhaust pipe tools. Takes joints apart with the squeeze of a trigger . If you gun has a knob near the air inlet , its an adjuster for air pai. It makes it so much easier to control the gun while starting so it wont jump ! WELCOME to the space age ! FjR68
