Please Santa bring me . . .
I am trying really hard to work myself off the Naughty List before Christmas, hoping I find one of these under the tree. Sure it's got a 2020 release date, but I assume Santa has a couple demo models in his North Pole garage already . . .

Hmmmm I wouldnt complain if he left the other one in my garage, there should be enough room for him in there.

Re: Please Santa bring me . . .
I’d get a 2 door in a heartbeat if it were available. I’d sacrifice the extra cab space for a useful bed, if I got a truck that long it would have to be able to tow my Jeep on a trailer.

I’ll second the tow rating, and apparently it’ll have a 7k-Ish tow rating. But I can’t fork out 40-60k on a wrangler truck or anything else for that matter.RandyCarol wrote:I’d get a 2 door in a heartbeat if it were available. Re: Please Santa bring me . . .
Here we go again . Since 05 weve been waiting for this truck . The TJ edition was gorgeous , this not so much . Not once have we heard of a V-8 option to tow with. Only configurations so far have been 2 door long bed and 4 door short bed. Whats the big deal ? They just take a 1500 chassis , get rid of the girly coil springs , put Jeep sheet metal on it and get your butt in gear and make them . (With a V-8) Not hold my breath anymore FjR68

Throw the 3.0 Eco Diesel in it and park it in my driveway!

I hope that little trailer is heavier than it looks. I wonder how effectively they've distributed the weight on that thing.MattJ wrote: Reminds of this photo I took at the Vermont Overland Rally this year:
I don't care for the Jeep truck. It looks like a Wrangler and a Hummer had a baby.

Re: Please Santa bring me . . .
They should do an extended cab, a two door with space behind the seats for some gear, and a 5.5’ bed. A good V8 like Frank said, and a decent 8k tow rating.

Re: Please Santa bring me . . .
It would be easy for them to do , they already have all the parts. If they dont have at least some kinda diesel option , They will be sorry. FjR68

Re: Please Santa bring me . . .
Well it isnt a V-8 but they are talking Diesel option at least.
"Propelling this chassis initially will be the 3.6-liter gasoline V6 from the Wrangler with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. In 2020, Jeep will start offering a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that is a thoroughly redesigned version of the engine found in the outgoing Ram EcoDiesel. It's down in power compared to the gas engine at 260 horses, but it more than makes up for it with 442 pound-feet of torque."
Wont help the towing too much, 7,650lbs with a 1,600lb payload but its something.

Re: Please Santa bring me . . .
It’s definitely a solid mid-size pickup. Once the diesel comes out it’ll be the only rival to the Colorado in the category. I didn’t see a wheelbase on it though. I wonder how that compares to the Tacoma, Colorado and upcoming Ranger.
