Just bought my 1st Wrangler - Looking for some easy trails

Unread post by leightonoc »

Just bought my 1st Wrangler and I’m looking for some easy trails. I’m in Beverly and don’t mind driving an hour or two. Can anybody make some recommendations? Thank you!

Only two legal places to wheel in Ma. Dont be that guy . Join a club like Baystate , we have access to properties you wouldnt believe. Rule #1 , never wheel alone ! No matter how easy you think its gonna be. Welcome to the forum . FjR68

Hi Frank, Thank for the reply, advice and welcome. I want to join Baystate and I guess I am on the waiting list. Why don't I want to be that guy if the two places are legal?

Welcome to the forum and I agree with Frank 100%. You can always check in on the forum for open runs that take place through out the season too.

Isn’t the open run on the 7th? That’s open to the public

I’ll be working it if I don’t have to work, I don’t usually know until a couple days before. I don’t think there is a limit on how many rigs

There limits on the number of tickets.
Only 3 tickets remaining for the easy trails (Green & Blue) as of now.

Welcome to the forums, these guys are right, be safe out there, DO NOT wheel alone, bad things happen when you do that eventually. Stay on the waiting list spots will open up eventually, there will be some open runs that you can jump in on.
'97 thats been chopped up and put back together, and ready to take on the trails.

Thinks for all the advice guys. I’m one to play by the rules. I’m in Beverly but love roadtrips. Putting lots of miles on this Jeep. The easy open run division on the 7th requires minimum 32” tires with aggressive tread. They are brand new 32’s but I wouldn’t say they are aggressive threads. Will I get turned away cuz of my lame treads? When you say don’t go alone, do you mean have someone else in your vehicle or go with another vehicle? See… I really am a newbie. When I bought this Jeep a few weeks ago I had no idea I’d be exploring off-roading with it.

If you are going to be worried about hearing the bottom of your jeep scrap rocks I wouldn't go. Sign up for green if want to go, if it's to much for you, you can jump in a passenger seat and get a feel if wheeling is for you or not.

Try it the way Mark suggests, you'll also be able to see other Jeeps in action, talk to some people and hopefully get a feel for what you may like to try.
