Re: Time to Switch to Rock Sliders?
I'm switching to sliders next month. It's almost become funny how much damage these N-FAB tube steps have taken. They're definitely not made for the rough stuff.

Choose sliders wisely, some protect better than others

I went with these options (DOM, powder coat, angled up 20 degrees). Hopefully the last ones I ever need to buy . . .

Well looks like you finally wore out that stock stuff lol. Glad you didnt suffer massive damage. Just think now you can really take her bouncing thru the woods.
'97 thats been chopped up and put back together, and ready to take on the trails.

Re: Time to Switch to Rock Sliders?
I pulled the N-FAB Nerf Steps off today. Lots of damage under there. And rust inside, despite the fact they are less than two years old and I sprayed half a can of Eastwood internal frame coat up inside them with a 30-inch wand. This is what it looks like when you bring a slingshot to a gunfight!

Re: Time to Switch to Rock Sliders?
They are mounted with three bolts into the frame and three more (much smaller) bolts into the body panels. The brackets from the frame bolts got bent upwards into the pinch seams on the body panels after many massive rock strikes. The smaller bolts into the body panels made it worse by buckling and bending the panels at the attachment spots.
