CO2 Air
I want to get a CO2 tank setup for my Jeep for awhile now but I know it can be done for a lot cheaper then $500 that 4WD.com and Quadratec want for them. Here is the thing though I have had no luck what so ever in finding all the parts to build a set up even though people always say they are easy to find.
So if anyone that has built one before would like to earn a few extra bucks and build a set up for me that would be cool. I will obviously pay for the parts and some extra for your time. Rather pay you guys then some internet company. Only things I ask is that there is a bracket available so I can mount it within the Jeep. It would also be nice to be able to lock the tank in since the Jeep rarely ever has a top on it during the summer. I don?t plan on leaving it in the Jeep 24/7 but I want to be able to go to dinner after a run or something and know it is safe. O and I will pay extra if it is painted red to match my Jeep. Chrysler color Flame Red.
Edit: I just realized this maybe better suited in the For Sale section.

Re: CO2 Air
x2 on what Brian said, just with more ... and ,,,
You may also be able to find a cheap tank at a place that fills them. I'd tell you New Bedford welding supply but their a little far from you.
fwiw, you may want to reconsider a tank and get a real oba system. I like the tank I have but I think I'd like OBA better.

Re: CO2 Air
I picked up a 20 lb tank in 2007 from Dental, Medical & Industrial Gas Co., Inc.

(I use it for shielding gas on my welder)
They were listing tanks on Ebay at the time.
The tank, filled with CO2 + tax was a grand total of $100.93
I agree with Scott... you may want to reconsider and go with an OBA system.

Got one and I hate it. Takes too long to fill a tire.Carl McFly wrote:

It has been pretty much impossible to find a A/C compressor for my motor and since at some point I am going to dump the crappy 2.4 doesn't seem to make sense going that way. I wouldn't mind putting in a viar type system or something but we are back to big $$ that way.Scott wrote: fwiw, you may want to reconsider a tank and get a real oba system. Is this what you got?dips wrote:josh i bough tmine from polyperforance, came with everything. $230 shipped. bought it about 8 months ago

It is a little more then $230 but didn't know if prices went up or you got a 10lb. How do you like the mounting bracket? Mind taking a pic of it for me?

Re: CO2 Air
It looks good Those plastic air lines are known to break or crack I like the normal air hose for a compresser a 10 ft 1 will work great
I got mine from the Bev. Factory 3 years ago they were the best priced 1s around at that time On Ebay they were cheap they have others on there for dirt cheap

Re: CO2 Air
I am not a big fan of the coiled plastic hoses either but if what ever I get comes with one I will probably use it till it breaks and then get a normal one like you said.
