For those that have 35+ tires and 2.5"+ lift and your Jeep is your DD, how do you keep your alignment? Just asking for a friend....

Before I went to 35s I redid my entire front end. It's been aligned twice since. I can do 75mph before I get even a hint of wobble. Tracks just fine
Chrome? Never heard of it.

There's a 92 for sale right on main st in Northboro. Body is in good shape. I pass it every day. If I stop im going to be tempted.....so I keep driving
Chrome? Never heard of it.

"Complete the Project" Thats funny right there. B&B-ish said exactly which way you should go. Experience is key ! How do you get it ? Wheel. A dana 30 is very reliable up to 35" tires and driven moderately . I have a stock 30 with stock axle shafts and small u-joints. It lives. Do one thing , go back to the first post you wrote. Light to moderate trails is what you said. We all know that turns into something else down the road. Weve all been there. The JKs 30 is weaker than my CJ cause the factory cheaped out on you with wall thickness of the tubes , which makes the innner -Cs_ bend the tube . The cheapest fix is to do the axle gussets before you bend them. Theres a million things to do , your at step one. Get your mods done , wheel , get more done , wheel , then you decide what you want next , what you can afford , most important--- what you need ! Happy Trails FjR68

my alignment is fine now.. it sucked before hand. Driving on highway sucked too, as I would get blown of the highway when 18wheelers would pass me.

All changed when I re-geared and auto-locked the rear.

If your looking to do up the 30, this might be an option as well....looks like you just need to gear it back to 3.73 if thats how you want to go...

I've learned planning is the key and some time on the trails. I have done mine in phases, started with the lift then did 35's, regeared and trussed my Dana 30. Now I'm looking to add lockers this year. I was going to pull the trigger, but Scott needs the jeep for 7-10 days which is a long time with no DD. hopefully I'll find a time I can give her up for that long this season.
