Questions before applying

Unread post by Tbreau »

Hey All!

Disclaimer: I am a new Jeep owner and new to all of this. I found your page after searching and want to make sure I don't apply without the proper attachments on my Jeep. My jeep has stock bumpers so I have 2 vertical hooks on the front I believe for towing and there is one hook on the left in the back, no tow hitch. Do I need 2 tow hooks in the back? Also, do I need a winch to join?

Thanks for your help!

Taylor,
The tow points you have on your Jeep are fine. We only require at least 1 secure tow point front and rear so you are all set.
No, a winch isn't required.
The official required equipment to attend club runs are:
- 29" diameter tires or larger
- A secure tow point front and rear
- 20' recovery strap
- First Aid Kit
- Working CB radio
- Full size spare tire

Anything beyond that is optional :)

Hi Taylor,

Welcome to our forum. We're off to a good start with our runs this year, but with plenty left for you to take advantage of. The first three runs in June will be a good place for you to start.

What Kurt mentioned for equipment is absolutely correct. To expand on it, you may want to visit this page:

Looking forward to meeting you.
