Yes, it's a 2 foot. Reception has been great on the trail, I only use my CB when wheeling so I'm not sure how it would be on the open highway. I got the short one so I can fit it in the garage and to keep it from catching on branches off road. I'm satisfied with it

For any kind of distance , it should at least clear the height of the vehicle . Make sure to check your SWRs when the install is complete. FjR68
