well, we finished just minutes before 8PM and got everything in except the exhaust spacer which it looks like he will need as the DS is making contact with the exhaust at full droop. It was a marathon work day and god bless Kurt and Don for putting in some long hours.... I think Raplh will be very happy with the new lift! :)

What can I say, it was one heck of a loooong day! We started around 9:30, had about a 30 minute lunch break and didn't end up till 8:00pm. I can't thank Kurt, Don, Jeff, Dave, Amanda and Carl enough for all their help. A bang up job. I'm very proud to consider myself a member of such a group where people are so willing to share their time and expertise. Not to take away from anyone's efforts but, as Jeff said, Kurt and Don were heroic in their efforts. But, everyone who showed up deserves the biggest of thank you's.

Thank you!

I know it will take a little time for the lift to settle in to it's designed lift size, but my 2.5" lift currently gained me 4"! Here's a before and after:

The big day has finally arrived!

I'm very pleased with the lift so far. It handles nicely and is at least as good of a ride as with before the lift.

I don't know how much of a concern it is, but after leaving the garage and before I got onto 495, the ESC light would go on and off intermittently. Once I was on 495, it stopped and didn't come on again. If it comes on again today or tomorrow morning, I'll mention it to Firestone when I bring it in for an alignment and, if it needs work, I'll probably bring it to the dealer.

Anyway, thanks again. As Kurt said just before leaving last night, "Now I'm a member of the Big Boys club". I don't know about that, but I do know I'm a member of the greatest Jeep club.

Ralph, is the steering wheel cocked left or right of center? Your track bar prob needs a little adjustment and the ESC will stop acting up.

Actually, it was off center to the right before we started and we attempted to correct it after the install. It appeared centered before leaving the garage but, after traveling a short bit on the way home, it now appears very slightly off center to the left. It will be corrected tomorrow when I get the alignment.

Looks great Ralph. Sorry I couldn't stay all day, I had a commitment that I needed to get to before the store closed. Had I known you guys were working that late I could have returned.

Looks awesome Ralph. My 4.5 lift hasn't sagged at all since being installed late last summer and with me, my tools and my tire size if it hasn't sagged yet I can't imagine it will. Great job everybody.

Meant to post up yesterday but got side-tracked. Had the alignment done and they found the toe was way off. The driver's side pointed in while the passenger side out. Everything was adjusted and it feels great. One slight difference I noticed prior to the alignment was that I felt some "bounce" or "hop" to the wheels, not sure of the correct terminology, whenever I went over some small bumps on the highway. I'm guessing it may be due to the type springs RK provides? It may be my imagination, but some of that went away after the alignment.

My wife, Angela, says she likes the lift and enjoys riding in the Jeep. She likes being higher up. Great! Now let's see if I can get her to like bigger tires!

Now to get those exhaust extensions installed!

That's called bump steer. Check your bushing on your front track bar. I went with a JKS adjustable front trackbar and my problems were solved.
