no idk.. i had this locking gas cap ever sens i had the jeep and it never made that code come up so i don't think that's the issue

My stock cap lasted 1 year after i bought the jeep then about every 2 years after that the cap had leaks Not every time but the code came up about once amonth

CJ's are a little hard than newer jeeps though. You have to disassemble the engine and read the codes off the crank journals while someone else pumps the clutch...
