Hi Everyone
Hi all, my name is Nick. I'm new to off-roading, the only previous experience I have with it was back in 99-03 when I was stationed in Alaska taking the humvees off-road during field exercises in the Army (and, in the same time period during a training exercise in the desert in Cali at Ft. Irwin). I have been wanting to find a group to go off-roading with since I bought my Wrangler in 2013. This is my second jeep but my first wrangler (previous jeep was a liberty). I haven't put any mods on it yet other than buying an aftermarket soft top for the summer and some new tires which I just put on. In the future I'd like to do a small lift/replace the shocks. As for other mods, I'm not really sure yet. I don't know much about working on vehicles (I'm a nurse, was a medic in the Air Force, prior to that I was a communication specialist in the Army) but the last 3 years with my jeep I've learned a lot so hopefully I'll catch on quick with what I want/need to upgrade. I just filled out the membership application and I'm excited to get out and wheel at some point soon!
*I've been trying to add a picture of my Jeep but I can't make the file small enough to post from my iPhone (I'm at work) so I'll have to wait until I get home to post a picture, sorry!

Re: Hi Everyone
Good mornin Nick. Thank You for your service and welcome to Baystate . We have the best people in this club. Dont worry about being a new guy , every one started there. We have from mild to wild selection of trails so as your skill or desire grows youll still fit in .Cant wait to meet you at the spring meeting and get the ribbing started. My icon on the left is Mona. She my date most weekends. Ive changed one or two things over the 14 yrs. Ive owned her and I always look at doing more. The photo thing will be explained better by someone that knows computers. I know most everyone uploads to "Photobucket" and leaves a link for some things if that helps. See ya at the meeting. FjR68

Re: Hi Everyone
Oh man I completely forgot about photobucket! The second pic has my new tires, just put them on this week. I forgot to ad in the mods that I put step bars on, though I'm not sure if those count as a "mod", everything else is stock. Btw, Frank, your jeep looks awesome!

Re: Hi Everyone
Great looking Jeep, I love the bumper and grill! Going to put upgrading those on my wish list after I lift it and install sway bar quick disconnects. I'll definitely plan on being there on the 19th. I'm off work that day but I'm working the night before (I work 12.5 hour overnights) so I'll swap shifts or just be tired lol. Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Re: Hi Everyone
Oh, one question regarding the vehicle requirements. Do the stock hooks on the JK front bumper and the hook on the rear bumper meet the requirements for tow hooks, or do I need to upgrade those to ride?

Re: Hi Everyone
Yes they do . I believe they are bolted to or are welded to the frame. Thats the requirement ! Not just bolted to the bumper. FjR68
