Hey everyone

Unread post by Dirtymonkey »

Waiting on our new house to close in Worcester I was trying to find out where everyone goes wheeling around there and what's the difficulty of the terrain out there. Right now my rig is a trailer only it scares the hell out of me on the road that and most states don't consider it road legal I'm running a Ford 8.8 rear axle and a dana 30 front for now some how it has survived when I finally blow it up I'm going to put a 44 up there 4.88 gears lockers front and rear custom bumpers gas tank relocated for axle articulation
Winch I have been wheeling in hot springs ar at the superintendent orv park I I've gotten to watch Tim Cameron and Jordan tanner and guys of that caliber in person down there is there anything like that in the area or is rouch creek the closest thing?

Sorry, we don't give out locations on a public forum to non- members as we all wheel legally and with prior permission. Check out our website if you want to join us! Membership is only $50 for the year.

Hey Dirt :) Dont know how it was for you down there but up here the law man is freeky . Only know of two legal places to wheel in mass. Open to the public . Thats why we all joined a club. You wont have any regrets joining this group. Rausch Creek is a great place . We go twice a year ! We have some property in N.H. that will test you rig and your skills. Hope to see ya at the spring meeting and on a trail. FjR68

sounds great i dont nor have i ever gone wheeling illegally and its always been with a group its just safer that way. do yall have monthly meetings or gatherings? I dont know if there is anyone in the club that can weld or has a shop but hopefully it wont take me to long to get my shop set up if anyone needs some welding done.

We have 2 meetings a year- Spring and Fall- usually March and October time frames. At the Spring meeting we go over our schedule for the season and any open items from the previous fall meeting. During the Fall meeting we vote for the Board of Directors and plan out the schedule for the next season. We do not meet monthly.

During the winter months when we don't have anything on the schedule, we may do a pick up run. Several of us members do wrenchfests to fix whatever needs fixing and its open to other members to come with their issues that need fixin' or to help out.

We do have a few people in the club who weld. I had a member weld a sheet to my tub earlier this year. Another welder can be useful!

When I totaled my TJ in 2011, a club member offered his garage for me to use! Granted, it was a 45 minutes drive one way, I am forever grateful to him and the members who helped me re-build my beloved Jeep. We are a tight group and willing to help anyone.

Sounds like you may fit right in.

Dirt-Dude , As long as you show up at the camp fire with stories of old and can stretch the truth , you will fit in. But watch out for the little blue shakey thing ! FjR68
