How to sell the wife on new rims?

Ok so how do I sell the wife on letting me get new rims for my tires, just put over 3000 into suspension/tire combo now need to finish it off,but another 500 worth of rims might not fly...... What you guys think buy the rims, better to ask for forgiveness than permission?

LOL I am the opposite as I am the wheeler. I buy whatever I want (no joint account) and my hubs is okay with that bc he loves to get out on the trail.

Id explain it to her her that these are the summer wheelin tires and wheels. These other ones are to help get us through inspection and winter ! FjR68 From the land of no inspection at all.

OK so I just noticed this post.

Are you sure you want to put new rims on the wife before you sell her? It's unlikely that you'll get your investment back. Probably not worth new rims, unless the ones on her now are in really, really bad shape...

I'd just leave the old rims on her and get what you can for her.
