CQ CQ Calling CQ
Anyone in the club have a ham radio license? Seeing how easy it is to get a technician license (no Morse code required. None), the price of the equipment and the range you get compared to a CB? I'm getting licensed and set up. And if someone has wisdom they can impart? I'm all ears

yup, agreed. Been there, done that. Signed up at http://www.arrl.org/home and now I'm in the next phase, source opinions from people I know and trust. Pretty sure ham radio's will never fully replace CB's but their range is (literally) miles better than CB's, costs are way down (handhelds can be bought for $30) and licensing has never been easier
