Rausch Trip

Unread post by Frank »

Coming home from S.C. on 84 was a nightmare ! From the 81 split to the N.Y. line was under const. and it wont be done this year ! They had the east bound lanes in the west bound lanes divided be K barriers. Single lane for miles , then back to the right side . Was traveling through there around 3:30/4:00 pm and it was slow. This side of Newburg, started to thin out. Some of the crossovers were downright sketchy ! The Tractor Trailers were having a good ol time. Just sayin . FjR68

That same stretch of 84 was under construction last year too.
It was a bit pokey thru the construction but not bad last year.
Sounds like it may be worse now...

it is my intention to leave early in the morning, probably by 6am to get ahead of the traffic if anyone else wants to convoy on an early start group.

Tuesday can work for me. I still prefer an early morning start to get ahead of the traffic.

I'm undecided still, but would like to go and I can still arrange time off from work. But, I would definitely head down on Wednesday and not Tuesday.
