I think we can potentially put something up on the lift and work with another Jeep behind it. Maybe.... We also should be able to pull all the way forward and get two jeeps on the ground in...

We''ll see what projects we can get to and if there is demand always go for another day later.
Seeing how we have limited capacity? I can get by with changing my plans. Ditch the cable shifter install and instead, just work on getting my skid plate bolted back on. It's a little more involved than it sounds 8-) but shouldn't take more than 45 -60 minutes on the lift

I can bring my little MIG welder and Amanda, I have a plate of steel. 16 ga, I think. Got it from Home Depot and there's plenty left for a patch. See youse in the morning

Good day, got three vehicles completed and a good look under the fourth. While I got my troubleshooting and repair done on the fogs (corroded terminals inside a supposedly weatherproof fuse holder), Jeff and Carl replaced the remote control socket and cover.

We then got Carl's engine skid drilled and installed, three person job under. Jeff and Carl found some more sections of Carl's frame that are going to need some TLC.

We then got Amanda's Panda in and Carl got to work on repairing the rust hole in the tub. While Carl worked on that, Jeff and I got the Commando Into the bay and got it upon the lift. Got some inspections and lubrication done on it and measured how much brake line it is going to need. Hit all the brake line fittings with PB and let is sit. Ran out of time to get deeper into the Commando. That rig is going to be fun.

Casualty of the day was Jeff's head light (flashlight, not on the vehicle). I backed over it pulling my Jeep out. Going to HD to get the replacement tomorrow.

Good write up Dave and it was great to see you again. Looks like I'm out of wheelin commission for a little while, like Dave said, my frame needs some TLC and it kind of pisses me off. This really took me by surprise. After my last frame patches were ironed on I really thought this would be it for a while. Guess I was wrong :( But it was a good day helping friends and I'm grateful for that

(EDIT - Sorry for whining in public :violin: but I'm ready to man up and move on. It's a setback. That's all it is. Not the end of the world)

It was great seeing everyone again too. It had been a long while since I saw any of you.

Replacement headlamp picked up as well as a new battery for my voltmeter.

How bad is it? Will another patch work, or does an entire section need to be replaced?

Tony - it's bad. But after giving this a lot of thought over the last 24 hours, I'm thinking it's nothing a few pounds of steel and high voltage arcs can't fix. 8-) Maybe. Jeff was good enough to send me a few pics of the damage (thanks again Jeff) it was something I should have done yesterday but I was to busy feeling sorry for myself and seriously considering ditching the whole thing  Also evaluating the Safe-T-Cap as a possible solution
