Storm

Unread post by Modeler »

Hoping everyone is OK. Board has been real quiet today and want to make sure is safe.

On a fun note, a Chevy 2500 got stuck in a snowbank while plowing my road about noon. He'd already called a his boss, but I had him winched out before he got there. He couldn't believe the Jeep got out of the area it was parked, through an uncleared driveway and over the plow berm and around him. I laughed an told him mine was still a fairly small Jeep. He cleared most of the driveway as thanks. The 2500 was in there good, I was sliding all four wheels on the street until it dug to pavement, then it pulled him right out.

Pushing 24" here too with drifts over 36" in some spots. Of course, there are bare spots on the driveway right around the cars. LOL

It may have been light fluffy stuff but given that Westford could have been Hoth with all the freakin ice we have on the ground it was total PITA to get the snow blower to get traction. That and the fact that the snow was taller than the chute made for a sore back today. did the bulk of the work last night but I fear i will be spending more quality time with the snow blower today digging the jeeps out. took a little spin in the TJ last night and it was fun but the roads had mostly been plowed by 5pm when I went out. :(
