Trailer Brake Drums
Having to do brakes on my auto hauler I just bought loaded backing plates to score Shoes, wheel Cyls., springs. 4 bolts its all set to go. Then a thought came to mind to add this used set to the rear axle for 4 wheel brakes. It will bolt right on! The issue is I would need to find 2 new/used brake drums to complete it. Heres the problem Im hoping one of you computer wizards can help me with. The trailer is an "89" Deande Mfg. The axles are Dexter 3500s. The brakes are 10x2.25 , Heres the problem , The drums are 4 bolt and are discontinued. I called Redneck Trailers for the brake parts and they said they went out around 96 or so. He said they were used on mobile homes also and someone must have a pair on a shelf. What Im asking is if someone with skills can find what Im looking for , you dont have to call anyone , I just need help in building a list of places to call. I forgot to say the part # for the drum is (8-245-4) If you choose to participate there may or maynot be a reward ! Thanks FjR68

Might be time to swap out all 4 hub & drums.
