Perceptions are interesting. Levi Strauss ranks # 2, yet they are one of the most leftist, progressive companies out there, who's board would happily rip the constitution to shreds if they could. They haven't manufactured anything in the US since 2003. Still # 2, though.
Reminds me of a couple of surveys that I saw side by side. One was beer sales by brand, the other was beers taste rated by brand. The #1 seller in the world was Corona. The beer that most people said tasted worst was...you guessed it, Corona.
Same thing with coffee. Folgers is the biggest selling coffee brand in the world, and it consistently comes in last in blind taste tests.
Just a little something for you entrepreneurs out there to think about. - what's real means nothing, perception is everything.
