Got about 8" of global warming here too. My dad in North Andover already had over 10" when I went there at 3PM yesterday.

Just put the battery back in the Jeep a few minutes ago. (My Sister in Law used it and left the headlights on while we were in Cali over Christmas, had to have Sears recharge it my charger won't do AGM and adding a regular battery in parallel didn't help)

It can't be that cold out there, I can still feel my fingers and my face. LOL

A touch over 8" here of real fluffy global warming.
Brought in some extra firewood for the night to fight off the -10* they are forecasting.

Modeler : Next time hook your charger to a wet cell battery , and a set of jumpers from that batt to the AGM. You must have a digital charger and it cant tell the amp output of the AGM and goes into safe mode. By hooking a wet cell to the charger it can process the amps needed and current will flow to the AGM also. It takes longer but its the only way I know of making a digital charger work on an AGM. My boys bought me the Optima Digital charger last year and its fantastic. I was able to recycle , what I thought was a failing red top. Works for every kind of batt. We got just around 10" in Ct. Nope Frank, tried that too. It was just too far gone for a household charger. I used a known good regular 12V lead-acid in parallel with it. I should have said my charger doesn't work on the Platinums, as the one I have does have an AGM setting, but Sears has a new one out that has a Platinum setting. I've charged Optimas with the one I have.

Besides, Sears charged it for free and it gave me a chance to clean up and rearrange a few things.

Most excellent : I was told that the Sears Platinum is an Odessy Bat. I was going to replace my red top thinking it was dieing. FjR68

Yup, Diehard Platinum = Odyssey. I've had mine installed since Jan 2009 and the warranty on it was 4 years full replacement and 52 months on top of that as prorated replacement, 100 months = 8 years 4 months of coverage.
