The new Chevrolet Colorado is rumored to be available with a 2.8 liter turbo diesel engine. Not only would it make a good tow vehicle but after a while the engines will be available at the bone yard to swap into your favorite trail rig.

Love Chevy and love diesel, but never liked the Colorado. I've been driving them daily at work for about 4 years now and their interiors are always falling apart and they always have stupid little mechanical issues. We need a Jeep pickup with a diesel motor.

I've seen one of those at a dealer in Phoenix. It's basically a conversion kit for the JK Unlimited. Nice, but still not really a truck.
