I decided to do something different this season and only took part of the hardtop off

A few minutes with the Image and presto!

I've got a 1/2 hardtop from a Scrambler, if you want to go that route.

I remember seeing a YJ at the first DWE Truck show years ago with it's hardtop "customized" that way.
I thought to myself... that's unique, I gotta try that someday

so... while dragging the remains of of airborne :o hardtop out of the woods I was thinking of what to do with it.

I salvaged the rear window gate, gasket, hinges all it's hardware and wiring. I'm sure I can sell it on CL as I frequently see people looking for them :D

Looks good Kurt.

I ended up cutting mine in half and kept the door surround and 1st bolt hole for the body tub to help keep it down. It came out well.

Joe,

Glad you were able to use some of the remains of your top. :P
Neat idea!

I just used a couple of pipe straps on the main roll bar hoop to secure the center of the top.
Didn't want to secure it too well. Needs to be able to rip iteslf free should it get into an arguement with an obstacle.

LOL...Kewl! Who needs a full hard top, especially if it's just for wheeling?

Next thing you know, you'll be wearing flip flops to wheel!~

Only on the trail. You have to be able to hit the brake with your big toe and gas with your pinkie.
