Exhaust System - Muffler & Tail Pipe

Unread post by lhbjeep101 »

I am replacing my muffler and tail pipe and wanted to ask for recommendations. Use OEM or up grade to higher flow, better sound and lower profile system. My understanding is that an upgrade will cost twice as much. I have to have a shop fix a few hangers as well so I was thinking of just going for the upgrade. Thoughts??

I like stock setup and spend my $$ on something else.

A Banks Monster exhaust is a beefy setup. Couple that with a cold air intake and you get a bump in HP that you can feel. My rigs more responsive, I probably shaved a minute or two off my 0 - 60 time

Seriously, the cold air intake and Monstah exhaust made a noticeable difference

Any setup that will increase flow will increase power and MPG.

I would go to Lou's Custom Exhaust (multiple locations) and have them weld up a new system with a Flowmaster muffler.

I went to Lou's and had them put a performance steel muffler with a custom tail pipe, looks good, sound great. Now to get the top off and some mud on the tires.
