Anyone have any experience with those (cheap) "one-man-brake-bleeders"? Not the vacuum ones, but the hose that goes on your bleeder, with spring loaded B-B's that act as a check valve. I'm optimistic that I'll be bleeding my brakes *soon* and wanted to know if these bad boys work

One Man Brake Bleeder
You can do it if you can run a hose from the bleeder into a bottle of brake fluid... Just keep the bottle 1/2 full and the master reservoir above the min line.
Have you wife/child do the pumping...

Carl,
Never used the one in your link.
I have had good luck with this type that can be picked up in any auto parts store.... http://www.autozone.com/autozone/access ... =46839_0_0_ check the level in the catch bottle after 7 pumps or so. It does fill kinda quick. And in the case of your Jeep, just ignore the last line of the features block
I've also used the "speed bleeder" type screws with success.... http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/ ... 5221_15907_
That's the one that fits your new rear brakes a chunk of clear tube and an empty container is all you need.

I have a Phoenix Systems brake bleeder that works the nuts. I bled my hydraulic clutch and brakes by myself. Well worth the expense.
Your welcome to use it if you'd like Carl.

I use:
THE CLUB
I pump it up and set the club against the seat/pedal. Been doing it this way for 20 something years.

Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty.
