It turns a JK into a full size truck that can't tow anything. Other than that, it looks cool.

I certainly wouldn't call it full size, it doesn't have the width. And with the ranger gone, what else do you have in that size? Besides, I have a tow rig, I want a decent rig I could drive to go wheeling, as well as have plenty of room for camping & the family.

(I'm tempted on pulling the back seat, and putting a Jr. PRP seat in for Mark so I get half the space back....)

The width is pretty close to my F150 (the wheelbase is the same). It's definitely that of a FSJ Waggy. Toss in big tires and there you go (65"-70").

It's a cool rig, and if you toss'd in a 5.7L she'd go pretty nice. The $ for the conversion though...argh.
I still don't think it would work well around here. Not with a 139" wheelbase and rear overhang. I think a better family option (having two kids myself) would be a trailer and/or roof rack system. A couple of years ago, we brought the YJ camping up in NH for two weeks. I tossed on the 33's for the hills and put our stuff in our 5x8 trailer. She worked pretty well.

Frank, that'd be too easy. Anyways, now I need the next project for the jeep, seeing as I just finished the axle swap I started last May... :D

x3 lol but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Don't waste money on a hemi for a jk until you drive a current model jk. The 6 speed with 3.73 is pretty sweet in stock form and I have been fighting w myself since Halloween to not go and trade my 08 JK in on a new one... As soon as I trade a diesel will be announced  I think you will see an actual mid-sided jeep pickup in 2015-16 when they redo the jk...

I really like that Gladiator they showed off a couple years ago, in the green . I would have gotten one. I heard they will have a model change in 2014 and thats when we will see the truck. I heard the new V-6 is better but I still wish for something else under the hood. My little Sport Trac is paid off in March sooooo ? FjR68

Harriton is quick to point out that the Brute Double Cab is not meant to be an alternative to a traditional pickup.
Just sayin'.

If the come out with the Gladiator, if it will be available with a diesel option, and if it will tow my Jeep on the trailer. I might trade in my truck towards one.

I would think if a Tj OR Jk can pull 2k , that length Jeep should at least be at or near 3-3500 lbs. Yes ? FjR68
