I believe there are two addition VIN plates. One on the firewall by the brake booster and one under the drivers seat.
Also body parts such as fenders etc also have VIN stickers on them too.

I'll be keeping an eye on this also, love to help. Though I suspect I may do more learning than helping.

All those wanting to help. YOU’RE AMAZING!
Maybe the easiest way would be posting on here. But here is my e-mail just in case:

Tub Options from Craiglist

First one, he sends me a picture and you can BARELY see the tub! What is that!!
He said there is “no rust or dents anywhere accept the drivers floor has a small hole in the middle”

He also said that he has the title.. and a frame. I am assuming that he took the frame off of the tub, which is fine.
“99 tj tub complete except seats, no real dents rot, excellent winshield n frame, all the electrical hookups dash guages, bags column padding carpet center console etc is there need it gone before snow” $400

Second one, not too bad looking. No information, just pictures. And his ad read “1997 Jeep Wrangler body/ tub (red) great condition!” $400

You certainly get more on the black tub. As much as it seems you get more with the black, I might swap anything electrical from yours into it, as you don't know whether its been sitting out in the rain. I'd also lift the carpet to double-check there's no fit under it.

What color's your interior?

Wrenchfest - Volunteers needed!!!

There is a white TJ sitting down the street from me that did not move all summer. I would have no problems stoping and asking what is going on with it. Only issue it has is one door is red.

The black on has a hole in the driver side floor. So who knows what the actual cndition is.

My jeep has a white tub with tan interior. Everything is tan!

As far as the white jeep sitting on the road, you can ask Chris! I don't need any doors!

I know of a black YJ that didn't either.

Amanda should just buy my rig.

Thanks to Kurt and Mike for yesterdays work!
I saw a tub yesterday that should just be thrown away... seriously.
So I am back on craiglist and looking at Joe's tub (and maybe there is a way to fix one of the panels).

I came across this... 1997 wrangler for sale.. 1,500$.

you can likley make back a lot of money if you buy it by parting what you dont need out. I would be happy to pick up the half steel doors and uppers as well as the hood. I would do about 200 or maybe more for those... :handgestures-thumbupright:

says it has a new soft top you can get at least 100 or more for that... You will be suprised what us addicts will buy... 8-)
